PROCEDURE ARTAS
Before the intervention:
- Personalized consultation, planning (number of grafts, density, direction of implants) modeled with Artas Hair Studio
- For male patients : the patient's hair should be cut very short (at 1 mm) for sampling in the donor area
- For female patients : shave only the donor area, which will then be covered by the hair from the top
The day of the intervention:
- Under local anesthesia, the patient can relax during the procedure (TV, music, breaks), which lasts between 4 and 8 hours.
- Extraction of the grafts, using the ARTAS ® robotic arm, according to mapping of the donor zone.
- The grafts taken are then sorted
- For men : the ARTAS ® robot performs micro incisions in the recipient area, the grafts are manually inserted by the doctor
- For women: implantation is done manually by the doctor
- The patient can return home.
The first seven days postoperation:
- Washing the hair: with a mild shampoo, in cold or lukewarm water.
- Recovery from usual activities within one to two days, but no intensive physical activity.
- The scalp must be protected from the sun.
SIDE EFFECTS
- Gene and minor swelling of the forehead and scalp for one to three days.
- Crusts at graft level falling after one to two weeks.
RESULTS
- The new hair will be visible about three months after the procedure.
- A net improvement will begin to be observed after 6 months.
