1 ° FUE technique

• It consists of transplanting micro-grafts from the donor area (back of the head) to the receiving area, affected by alopecia.
• The grafts are extracted with a punch, and the implantation is done either by placement or grafts into incisions, or directly with an implanter (DHI)
• For afro hair, this technique requires an experienced medical team

2 ° Strip technique (STRIP, FUT, FUSS)

• It consists of transplanting micro-grafts from the donor area (back of the head) to the receiving area, affected by alopecia.
• The grafts are extracted by surgical excision of a strip of scalp, which only a surgeon can perform.
• The implantation is done either by placement of the grafts into pre made incisions, or directly with an implanter (DHI)
• For Afro hair, this technique is often used, but some doctors recommend FUE instead

Biofibers (artificial hair)

Indications and precautions:

• Their use can be indicated in men when the donor area is insufficient, or in women to improve hair density.
• Only a few clinics offer this technique
• A tolerance test is always carried out before implantation of biofibers, to avoid rejection
