Typical cases which may require repair solutions :
- Hairline : too low, too high, uneven or asymmetrical
- Hair : wrong direction of transplanted hair (i.e too flat hair), unnatural distribution of grafts, poor density, pluggy grafts
- Donor area : over harvested or non homogeneous harvesting, scaring on donor area (FUT)
Techniques (or combination of techiques)
- Camouflage (only hiding) : adding density to camouflage wrong hair directions or pluggy grafts, or unnatural distribution
- Removal of failed grafts and re-implantation of the same : using large punches 2.5 mm diametre, along with camouflage, pluggy grafts can be extracted and dissected into smaller ones before reimplantation
- Only removal (i.e too low hair line) : using surgery, laser, electrolysis, when not enough donor.
- Scalp micro pigmentation : when not enough donro area, and not possible to use badly planted grafts
- Body hair : to add density when not enough donor hair
Establishing a new hairline is usually the core of the repair.
Limiting factors : donor area, fine hair, scars...
