TRICHOLOGICAL EXAMINATION: complete check-up of the hair and the scalp, with examination of the roots under a microscope or phototrichogram.

HAIR TRANSPLANTS:

Associated medical treatment, before performing a hair transplant:

• for men: Minoxidil 5%, Finasteride 1mg per os
• for women (young women, menauposed women): medicines to normalize the fall
• for traction alopecia (African women): Minoxidil 2%, stop traction for at least six months.

Long-hair STRIP (FUL), trichophytic closure:

Up to 4000 hairs (about 1800 grafts) in one sitting, up to 7000 hairs (3000+ grafts) in multiple sessions

Indications: provided that the scalp is sufficiently flexible:

• for women (no shaving)
• for afro hair (traction alopecia):
• when the density of the donor area is average (men, afro hair)

FUE, manual or automated:

Up to 1000 to 3000 hairs (500 to 1500 grafts) per session, shave donor area, micropunch (manual or motorized) 0.7 to 0.9 mm in diameter.

Indications:

• for men with short hair cut
• patients who refuse a thin scar line (STRIP technique)
• patients who have a good density and who do not have a large evolutionary androgenic alopecia 
• Patients not indicated for a STRIP (lack of flexibility of the scalp)

BEARD: same techniques as for hair transplant

EYEBROWS : A precise dermatological assessment must first determine the cause (repeated epilations, other cause).

DERMOPIGMENTATION: it makes it possible to densify bald areas by creating a stitching with the hair color of the patient.
